PDX ERS Plant Integration
The PDX Ethanol Reactor System is designed and ideally suited for retrofit installation with little impact on other plant operations. The PDX ERS mounts on a small footprint treating the corn slurry prior to it entering the liquefaction tank.
REACTOR ARRAY
The PDX ERS reactor array contains multiple PDX reactors pre-assembled with all the necessary control valves and instrumentation. The array is installed between the slurry and liquefaction tanks with appropropriate valving to allow easy bypassing if desired. The PDX ERS includes integral automatic controls, steam conditioning and clean in place systems.
STEAM CONDITIONING SYSTEM
Steam conditioning and CIP systems are mounted on the floor below or near the PDX ERS. The steam conditioning system ensures that the steam provided from the boilers is conditioned to suitable dryness and pressure levels for reliable PDX performance. The dedicated Clean-In-Place system assures reliability by cleaning the reactor banks automatically. The PDX ERS array has one redundant bank of reactors, so that each bank can be cycled out of operating and into cleaning mode.
CONTROL SYSTEM
All ERS data points are processed by the PDX ERS Control System, which can be operated either stand-alone or fully integrated into the plant's DCS. Operators can monitor and log instrumented parameters, set new control parameters, and select the PDX system operating mode.
PLANT INTEGRATION
The PDX ERS installation requires minimal additional process heat or power. Pursuit Dynamics' field engineers will provide full engineering design of the installation and plant integration as well as project management of installation through to start-up.
